Beginning her performing career at 16 in coffee shops, she honed her craft further in Chicago through both solo performances and contribution to the album and tour for Bonnie "Prince" Billy's "Wolfroy Goes to Town." 2014 marks the release of her sophomore album to coincide with an international tour across Europe and the US. They were a three piece consisting of Monty Colvin, Alan Doss and David von Ohlerking. They released one album, the self-titled The Awful Truth.
