Travis Michael Garland is a singer-songwriter from Lubbock, Texas who started his music career as a member of the boy band NLT . They were discovered by record producer Chris Stokes and signed to his TUG Entertainment-label in 2006. The following year NLT toured with the The Pussycat Dolls, and recorded a single with Timbaland . However, in 2009 the band split up before ever releasing an album. Garland went solo and was discovered online by the blogger and TV personality Perez Hilton, who was eager to help revive the young singer-songwriter's career. Colby O'Donis was born in Queens, New York on March 14, 1989 to Puerto Rican parents. O'Donis's talent was discovered at age 3 when he won first place at a talent show by singing a Michael Jackson song. He would also perform at his father's flea market in Queens every weekend, just for fun. Colby's rise to fame began at 10 when he became the youngest recording artist ever signed to Motown Records to do a song for a major motion picture soundtrack.
