Hailing from Troy, Michigan, We Came As Romans are pushing the envelope, combining influences such as the intertwined singing/screaming vocals of Underoath, the theatrical, orchestra-infused metal of Chiodos, the crushing breakdowns of The Devil Wears Prada and the positive lyrics of August Burns Red on their debut Equal Vision release, To Plant a Seed. Emmure is an American deathcore band formed in 2003. Originally based in New Fairfield, Connecticut, but now residing in Queens, New York, the group has a total of seven releases. Lyrical topics that Emmure touches upon usually focus on breakups, murder, social indifference, sexual deviance, philosophy, and religion. Many of the band's songs contain references to video games and comic books, particularly from Street Fighter and Marvel Comics, of which vocalist Frankie Palmeri is an avid fan. Woe, Is Me was a post-hardcore/metalcore band formed in Atlanta, GA in 2009. The band is currently signed to Rise Records and its subsidiary, Velocity Records. Their debut full-length album, Numbers, was released on August 31, 2010 and charted at #16 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers. Since then, they released an album (Genesis) and an EP (American Dream) before their breakup in late 2013.
