Filligar
From Chicago, Illinois
First Twin Cities show since since August 23, 2013 • First Turf Club show • Fifth Twin Cities show on MN Live's calendar since October 12, 2012
From last.fm:
Filligar is a touring rock quartet hailed as “one of the best young bands in America”. The lineup – three Mathias brothers and Casey Gibson – remains unchanged since the band’s early days recording and performing as teenagers in Chicago. The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) has recognized Filligar’s catalog of original music as of “prestige value” and the tastemaking Consequence of Sound has called their sound “a breath of fresh air.” Their latest release The Nerve was nominated for Best Rock album at the 2012 Independent Music Awards. The Pass
From Louisville, Kentucky
Only Twin Cities show on MN Live's calendar
From last.fm:
The story of the Pass goes something like this: Kyle Peters and Will Roberts met and became friends in high school in New Jersey and played in a couple of garage bands together. Will moved to Louisville where he met the rest of the group; Brian Healey and Neil Lucas. Unsatisfied with separate projects Kyle and Will decided to start a band and Kyle moved to Louisville. Strongly influenced by the dance beats of Justice, LCD Soundsystem, Daft Punk, and an affinity for 80s synth pop, The Pass was born. Read more about The Pass on Last.fm.
Brolly
From United States
First Twin Cities show on MN Live's calendar
From last.fm:
Formed from the childhood friendship of two boys, Brolly is a collective soul who recently released their debut EP titled Hollow Home Rd. Although Hollow Home Rd was birthed from simple beginnings, it evokes a deep emotional connection from its audience and keeps the listener's heart deeply attached to the raw, lyrical imagination of front man, Jake Ithurburn. Using both moments of "in your face" ambiance and heart stirring melodies, Hollow Home Rd combines music with the eclectic emotions of the human soul. Read more about Brolly on Last.fm.
