Marnie Stern (born March 18, 1976) is a musician, songwriter, and guitarist from New York City. She has garnered acclaim for her technical skill and tapping style of guitar play. Stern has cited many musical influences that contribute to her sound, including Hella, Lightning Bolt and Yoko Ono. In early 2007, Kill Rock Stars released her debut album, In Advance Of The Broken Arm. Members Christy Hunt (Von Bondies, Ouija Radio) Arzu Gokcen (Selby Tigers), Jacques Wait (Twilight Hours, Iguano, Magnatone), Charles Gehr (Seawhores, Marijuana Deathsquads, Ouija Radio, Jazz Man's Needle, Mid Carson July) formed in January 2010. With no products available to the public at the time, this band became a regional interest due to live performances and song writing alone. Their eponymous debut album was released July 5, 2011.
