From last.fm:
Take 5 southern california guys, mix in some surf, stone, and psychedelic, throw them in a haunted mansion in west hochiminster and with a little luck, you might get a band like The Growlers. The bands name comes from lead singer Brooks Nielsen and guitarist Moustache Matt. One day Brooks came home and Matt was takin a big growler in the outhouse and the rest is history. Watch some footage of old Wind N Sea Surf Club back in the 70's and you might get a taste of what this band's live shows are like. Read more about The Growlers on Last.fm.
The Garden
From Orange, California
First Twin Cities show on MN Live's calendar
From last.fm:
There are multiple artists named The Garden: 1) Gothic / ethereal band from Pennsylvania. 2) Collaboration between David Tagg and Hakobune. 3) Punk duo from California. 1) The Garden was a gothic rock / ethereal wave / shoegaze band from Pittsburgh, PA, United States. The band was formed in the autumn of 1985, with the intentions of pursuing a sound that was not only unique, but also moving. And through the years, Anthony LaCava, Christine Sacramento and Stephen Marlette, with accompaniment by Shelly O'Keefe on bells/keyboards, followed this dream by creating many songs of great substance.
