Charlie Parr plays original and traditional folk and Piedmont-style blues, accompanying himself on National resonator guitar, 12-string guitar and sometimes a banjo. He was raised in Austin, Minnesota, in a household that prized traditional American folk music and his style bears the influence of hours spent listening to country blues records and Smithsonian/Folkways field recordings; often in the garage. Dave Simonett is the guitarist and lead vocalist for Minnesota rock band, Trampled by Turtles. He is also the band's primary song-writer and shares the same roles in his side-project band, Dead Man Winter. He also served as the producer for The Lowest Pair's debut album, 36¢.
