Greazy Meal began in 1995 when a group of Minneapolis musicians who shared a love for the soul and R&B classics of the 70's and 80's threw together a weekly house gig at the Cabooze, a popular club for live music on the West Bank in Minneapolis. The vibe was very casual and the band stretched classic Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Curtis Mayfield tunes into long funky jams that allowed the musicians to showcase their formidable instrumental talents.
