From last.fm:

A Wilhelm Scream is a / band from New Bedford, Massachusetts, United States. Their name is a reference to the Wilhelm scream, a famous stock sound effect which mainly is used in films. The band previously went by the names Smackin' Isaiah, Koen and Adam's Crack, though the former was the only name to be used in any major release. The reason for the name changes "from Koen to Smackin' Isaiah to A Wilhelm Scream was really a matter of them adding new members, and progressing/maturing as a band." From last.fm:

It’s a bone chillingly cold early winter night on the streets of Chicago. The heavens can’t seem to decide between a light dusting of snow or a penetrating frozen rain. Arriving at the scene of their performance for the evening are the four members of Counterpunch, who are greeted by an all too familiar foe. Three stories of steep, narrow, foreboding stairs coated with a generous layer of ice, no elevator, and 1,500 lbs of equipment. Let the fun times begin. Read more about Counterpunch on Last.fm.

From last.fm:

Four dudes from Minneapolis playing punk rock. Formed in early 2007 with members of Sofakingdom (MPLS), Class of 86 (MPLS), WSDS (CA) and Yellow Parachute (Midj). They sound sorta like punk bands from Minneapolis with a hint of northwoods twang rock and mild anger ..... All of them write songs with a wide variety of influences from facemelter metal gnar, to old school punk, to hardcore thrash, to melodic punk, to John Prine, to insertnameofthenewestcooltechnicalgenretermhere core ..... All of which comes together for a unique mix of punk/metal/deep-fried greasy goodness from Minnesota. Our Own End on Last.fm.
