Hometown: Minneapolis. The lineup: Zac, Matt, Adam, Shon and Adam. Let’s get this out of the way up top: no, Solid Gold is not a syndicated top 40 countdown show which aired from 1980 to 1988 featuring the Solid Gold Dancers. But I could see the Solid Gold Dancers doing a fine routine to a couple of Solid Gold’s numbers—maybe the slinky “Bible Thumper,” or the dreamier “Who You Gonna Run To?” Read more about Solid Gold on Last.fm.
Aero FLYNN
From Minneapolis
First show since since January 15, 2016 • First Turf Club show since November 28, 2015 • 10th show on MN Live's calendar since April 6, 2014
From last.fm:
It is 2002 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin upstairs in a rented student house and Justin Vernon is in my arms weeping, saying, “I just want my band back.” Over a decade has passed and still, just today, I was on the phone with a writer from the New York Times who was doing a story on Wisconsin music, and really all anyone wants to talk about is the early aughts in Eau Claire. How many fucking times can my dear old friend Vern have his truly magical narrative incanted? How many times must his story be invoked by another, held up by an also-ran? Fort Wilson Riot
From Minneapolis
First show since since September 18, 2016 • First Turf Club show since March 1, 2014 • 104th show on MN Live's calendar since October 1, 2005
From last.fm:
Their debut record Idigaragua was an indie-rock opera performed with a full cast of actors and dancers that was written up nationally by Variety Magazine. While working on their follow-up record, Fort Wilson Riot amicably pared down to the duo of Amy & Jacob, joined, and toured with the band Ice Palace opening for Cloud Cult on there Fall Tour of 2009. Turning their house into a recording studio, Amy & Jacob worked by themselves and with trusted collaborators to write and record songs for Predator/Prey, as well as build up a body of new songs to be released in the future.
