Dressy Bessy is an indie rock band from Denver, Colorado, associated with the Elephant Six Collective. Guitarist John Hill also plays with the Apples in Stereo. Lead vocalist/guitarist Tammy Ealom formed the band with drummer Darren Albert and guitarist turned bassist Rob Greene in 1996. The name was taken from a popular Playskool doll of the 1970s. From last.fm:
There are three artists with this name: 1) Maudlin is a sludge band from Belgium. In 2009 Maudlin, willing to take over the world, becomes .maudlin (with a dot) because of existing bands with the same. "In a genre overwhelmed with sad bands, MAUDLIN may be the saddest of them all. It’s difficult to describe feelings we ain’t familiar with. The sadness, anger and depression the band has gone through is reflected in the repetitive, yet very powerful song structure. Sometimes it feels like MAUDLIN only has one friend: their instruments. Read more about Maudlin on Last.fm.
