SCHOENBURG [shown-berg] is an American folk/pop trio consisting of Billy Schoenburg, Dane Hoppe, and Graham Wakeman. Hailing from Illinois and Michigan, Schoenburg met both Hoppe and Wakeman while attending school in the Twin Cities. With Folk Pop melodies and lyrics reminiscent of Paul Simon, Schoenburg's songwriting asks that you not worry, while Wakeman and Hoppe’s arrangements and performances agree. Currently, their debut EP, “Short, but Sweet” is set for release on March 2nd, 2012, with their debut album, “Hydrophobia & Identity Insecurities”, scheduled for release on July 4th, 2012. The members of Beasthead have been playing music all over the Twin Cities area for almost ten years now. Coming from backgrounds in everything from blues to jazz fusion to funk rock to folk pop, they started working together about a year ago on bringing together all of their past musical experiences and current influences to create a sound that is as unique and diverse as the flourishing creative community found in Minneapolis.
