TABAH is a five piece indie rock group from Minneapolis that began in 2014. Their debut EP Time Will Come, released in June of 2015, reflected on their challenging and unique experiences of living in the increasingly tumultuous atmosphere of being a young adult. TABAH; meaning both destruction in Urdu and perseverance in Malay serves as a creative method in which the band pushes to break musical barriers and communicate unity through music. Kid Dakota is, predictably, a band with roots in South Dakota. Darren Jackson, who migrated to Minneapolis (where he still resides) after college, built Kid Dakota's sound upon his mid-90's self-produced bedroom recordings. Eventually, he met drummer Christopher McGuire, and music began to flow. Kid Dakota's notoriety increased when the 5 song EP So Pretty caught the attention of Low's Alan Sparhawk. Mary Bue

First Twin Cities show since since February 11, 2016 • 31st Twin Cities show on MN Live's calendar since October 8, 2006
From last.fm:
Mary Bue likes creaky clanky pianos and falling asleep playing guitar. She wants to sing to you about what she's cooking for dinner or what she dreamt about last night. Sometimes carthartic, sometimes joyous and always bittersweet, this newly transplanted minneapolitan is making a soft winter nest of music for you. Blend the sound of Ben Folds' joyous piano pop, Carole King's earthy soul and Tori Amos' quirky, intense intimacy and you'll get an idea of what Miss Bue sounds like. Read more on Last.fm
