Bad Sports
First Twin Cities show since since September 13, 2012 • First Triple Rock show
From last.fm:
Denton/Austin's Bad Sports are back with their third album - and second on Dirtnap. Produced by the Marked Men's Mark Ryan and Jeff Burke, Bras is a major departure from the '77 pop/punk feel of 2011's terrific Kings of the Weekend. This time the band brings a tougher, harder-edged sound and takes on a wider variety of musical styles. While still very much in the classic vein of Texan garage/punk, Bad Sports are also bringing to mind the heyday of New York City punk. Read more about Bad Sports on Last.fm.
Constant Insult
From Minneapolis
First show since since January 15, 2016 • First Triple Rock show • First show supporting a touring headliner since August 18, 2014 • Fourth show on MN Live's calendar since August 16, 2014
From last.fm:
Constant Insult have hooks out the ass. They split the vocals between genders...sometimes alone..sometimes together. They're not reinventing anything at all, but they're doing something that many bands are neglecting to do in these times, which is just write a solid fucking song that will stick in your head for longer than ten minutes. There's a hint of the beauty that makes FROZEN TEENS so undeniably good, because one of those guys is playing guitar and singing. It's not FROZEN TEENS jr though. It's really, really great.
