Two bands, listed below in chronological order, have used this name: 1. A duo consisting of Alain Johannes and Natasha Shneider who released one self-titled album in 1987. The single “Daddy’s Coming Home” received some alternative radio and MTV airplay. In 1990, Johannes and Shneider formed Eleven. 2. Walk the Moon is an indie rock band that formed in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2008. MisterWives was formed in 2012 where the three New York natives set out to produce, and perform their independently composed music. Their sound has been described as indie-pop-soul and has been well received in some of New York’s most notable venues. The core members include Mandy Lee (vocals/keys) William Hehir (bass) and Etienne Bowler (drums). Their live set incorporates other musicians that contribute sax, trumpet, guitar, and strings to their well-rounded sound.
