From last.fm:

Grant Hart is best known as the drummer (and singer and songwriter) in Hüsker Dü. Following the band's breakup, Hart released a solo album, Intolerance, on which he played most of the instruments himself. In the mid-90s, he formed the band Nova Mob, which released two albums before disbanding. Hart subsequently returned to his solo career. Much has been made of the volatile relationship Hart had with Husker Du guitarist Bob Mould and the band's acrimonious break-up with fans of the band spliting into two camps and searching for cutting remarks on the solo albums of both men. From last.fm:

The two decades since the band's inception have seen music critics call The Magnolias "Minneapolis' scruffy also-rans" and "little brothers" of more well-known Twin Cities groups The Replacements, Husker Du and Soul Asylum. And although The Magnolias were a few years younger than these bands, passage of time has revealed what fans knew since the Reagan years at their best, The Magnolias were second to none.
