To combat (or encourage..?) this movement in his life, he wrote and recorded one song every week of his 24th year--roughly 52 songs. He spent many years writing, recording and touring in bands. Tancred is the solo project of Now, Now guitarist Jess Abbott. Her first album 'Capes' was released in Spring 2011 on No Sleep Records, and a self-titled album was released by Topshelf Records on October 15, 2013. Under the pseudonym Tancred, Now, Now's Jess Abbott has put out a collection of songs written about her life. Raised on the coast of Maine, Abbott lived briefly on the west coast before moving to Minnesota to join Now, Now (then Now, Now Every Children). In the time since their last release (2009’s Endings), Minneapolis trio Self-Evident have been busy touring. They spent a month playing shows throughout Europe, in addition to several US tours.
